Through autofrettageing, work pieces are strain-hardened by applying an internal pressure higher than the yield point of the material. The internal stress thus induced increases the fatigue limit and service life by factor 2-3. Autofrettage can be applied to all pressure-loaded components, but it is primarily used on tubes and components that are subject to rapid load changes.

We offer the computation of the required autofrettage pressure based on the materials and working load as well as the autofrettage itself. At present we can handle autofrettage on our systems up to 10,000 bar, from single parts up to an entire production run.

For autofrettageing of larger components, we offer an on-site service. We will provide the necessary equipment and a trained staff will do the autofrettage wherever your system has been set up.
